I built these because there is nothing on the market that I liked
It looks fantastic and well done. It would appear that a full sized chest cooler can fit behind the rear seats with this thing. I'm still looking to get my P100-5, but I would certainly consider buying one of these to complete my build.

I got tired of not having any space with the seats up and this is what I came up with. It attaches to the cage with clamps and swings open to use the dump bed. Also pics of a friends that didn't want the spare tire.

Dirt-roadfab is a stand up guy I personally know him.. he has been building rock crawlers and accessories for as long as I have known him. Everything he does is quality work and he always goes the extra mile to ensure an excellent product when he is finished. I am still waiting on one for the 700 P 5. I know if there is enough interest they will be sure to come as well. And if there are any other accessories that are not available on the market that someone is wanting but don't have the means to build it hit him up I know he is capable of just about anything.

A few questions for you...With the rear seats raised, what is the measurement from the seat backs to the rack? I want to know if this will fit my equipment bag.

What is measurement with the tailgate closed to the rack?

Does this rack block the tail lights?

Do you have any pictures of the latch mechanism?

Have you sold many of them and have any reviews?

Thanks, Scott

Hi Scott,
Please note that all dimensions depend on where the heims are adjusted, but see below for the approximate number.

1- 16 1/2" between the seats and top bar.
2- 1/2" between the rack and tailgate.
3- There is one 3/4" tube across the taillight but has very little effect.
4- Please see pics of the quick release pins.
5- I have built 15 and just sold #13. I have yet to hear any negative reviews.

Thanks a lot for the info and extra pics & sorry about all of the questions. Really like your set-up. Now have to convince the "Checkbook Holder" to let me get one. I will be in touch if I can catch her in a weak moment! ;)

Oh by the way, I hate you guys with the nice big Shops/Garages! :(

It took some convincing of my checkbook holder to let me build it. Only took 13 years :D

Anyone with a 1000-5 understands the need for more storage when the rear seats are up. It attaches to the cage with 4-bolt clamps and swings open to use the dump bed. Also removes in seconds for those short toy hauler garages utilizing 4 quick release pins.

Dirt Road Fab builds these to order with several variations. Pricing is as follows.

$525 Gloss black rack
$575 Gloss black rack with spare tire mount
$625 Gloss black rack with spare and fuel can mounts

Fuel cans and mounts are extra.

Do you have one with just the spare fuel can mounts and no spare tire mount?
