That's a self-tapping screw. Do those four screws hold the colored plastic front to the black front grille?

I didn't have to remove those to remove the front clip from the bike. Then again, removed the front bumper and removed the entire front end as one piece (pic below). Sounds like what I did was far easier than trying to R&R those #19 self-tappers.

You would have to take them out if you replaced the hood section.

They do hold the colored fender and the grill together. Just trying to show that they might not have to take off the grill and the headlights, but your way might be easier.
