I have a 2016 P1000-3 with 10,600 miles on it. It is doing the common high RPM to take off and then RPM jumping when shifting into the odd gears. Everything I have read and researched on this forum says clutch pack is burned up. I have parts ready to order, and will be ordering them soon. My question is, for the time being would it be worth doing a re-learn to see if this would help the situation at all? From what I understand if the AT/MT lights stay on after the re-learn the machine is almost certainly telling you the clutches are bad? I am sure the clutch pack is burned, and I will be replacing it. Again, just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on doing the re-learn and if it would tell me anything?

Well to start with, we need pics of this rig with that many miles for sure. Weve seen them before but not too oftin. You were asked before and didnt produce so….
Pics Or It Didnt Happen

as for your issue, no the relearn wont help now. Its a 16’ was the cluch update ever done? Or is it on the original factory? If the ladder, thats quite impressive and will need a pic of that clutch cover for proof.

Just purchased the machine this week. I do not know if it has had the updated clutch cover installed or not, I have not had the time to take the plastics off to get a good look at it.

Yeah, check for the update now so you can order the parts if it hasn't been done and you can do it while in there.

Relearn isn't going to happen, and at/mt will stay on until your clutch pack is replaced.

I see that the program ended in September of 2020, is there any way Honda will honor a new cover since I just purchased the machine? If the update has not been done, of course.
