If I follow Talons around all day I don't think I'll have to worry about blowing a belt. It's not like we would be doing any of the hard stuff. 🤣
Actually all us Talon guys need to do is drive down the road at 50mph (or a constant speed) for a couple 20-30 minute stints and watch your clutch get grooved. KRX can’t even handle the road miles let alone actually get it to the dirt and rocks!!😜🤪😂🤣

I’ve never seen a KRX blow a belt, but I’ve seen them grenade diffs and stub shafts. I’d ride any trail or obstacle you think your KRX will do that my Talon won’t, and I’ll still stop at the top to winch you up or have a cold beer waiting for you when you get up there.

Adam will be at the top, but you never seen him get up there!😂😂😂

The large tires look great, but the extra weight and higher gearing will be hard on the clutch. When your below 2,000 rpm you're on the clutch. 30's above 4,000 feet elevation reduce the top speed. At 3,000 feet my Talon's will quickly hit the rev limiter. Hopefully Honda will have the electric Turbo in the future and come with 30's.

Honda needs to regear the Talon for 32's (internally), the new minimum. Shoot for the same overall gear ratio with the larger tires.

Hoping for anyone with real life experience running 33" tire on a Talon R with stock rims .

The questions I have are:

1) Do they fit?
2) If so, do they hit/rub during full compression, full wheel range?

This inquiry is aimed at the R, 2 or 4 seat iteration, not X.
So will 35s be ok with stock gearing or should I do the sub transmission regear as well? What's the biggest tire you guys recommend before regear. I live in the Ozarks and deal with some nasty climbs and want to make sure I got the power and don't hurt the clutches. P.S. KRXs suck

🤔..... that's a pretty good 1st post 😂😂😂

Welcome to the club from South Florida. Start an intro thread and post up some pics of your ride. Some info on your buggy and I'm sure the other Talon Bois will chime in with some knowledge 😂 👍

To run 35s you are going to need a 25% gear reduction to keep the gearing basically the same as stock. The combination of an IGR and the KW lower gear set will get you there.

@Adam490, you are running the exact combo of factory rims and 33" GBC Terra Master's that I was looking at. Even down to mounting side B out.

So what I'm understanding is that your rig is a pre-23 and can run these 33's without issue - lucky you. My 24 on the other hand will have contact issues due to a design tweak of the front suspension. Am I smelling what you're stepping in?

One last question Adam while I have your attention. Did you by chance measure what your front tire diameter was with full air? As we all know, a 33 might not actually be a 33 (or even a 32 in some cases).

🤔..... that's a pretty good 1st post 😂😂😂

I have a 2024 Talon and also trying to figure out the front clearance issue. Will these work to push the front out? I'm working with limited info and doesn't tell me if they are based off the previous 22 models or older.
