P500 500 won’t shift

2018 500 won’t shift. It is currently in neutral. Last rode it last week then parked in garage. Any one else experience this or have a solution.

First thing I would try would be a clutch adjustment.

Any noisy like its trying too or anything?

Can you manually shift it with the tool?

Been a few reports of rodents eating the wires and causing similar issues.

i'M SURE YOU ALREADY KNOW THIS BUT...if the idle speed is too high like when you forget to let all the way off the gas, the shifter won't work. Of course that is when you are not moving.

First thing to try is turn the key off and try again.

next thing to try is to check and clean the battery connections and the main ground at the frame. Make sure they are all tight.

If I turn it off then restart it will go into gear, but I have to do that every time I want to go for a ride.

Might be Starter motor or the gear inside he also checked the angle sensor..

Just got back from dealer it was the battery. Put a full charge on the battery and it has been fine.

All Honda electric shifts hate a low battery, i had a foreman and rancher and both of those along with my P500 had or have shifting issues if battery is not near full charge. I just put a disconnect switch on the power cable going to my blue sea bus bar that powers my lights and winch. The wireless winch controller is always on and would drain my battery if i didn't run it for a while.

Same issue here, New battery and voltage regulator required, don’t know if one bad component damaged the other. Looking for a volt meter for the dash so I can monitor it.
