Ordered the ModQuad (Open Trail) skidplate this morning. $560 on eBay with free shipping, but if I wanted to opt for the next day shipping it was an extra $948, lol. I'll take plenty of pictures upon install.

Well it showed up today! Ordered it yesterday morning at 9:30 and it was sitting at my door when I got back from lunch. Can't beat that. Doesn't look bad, will definitely need more holes though.

Went ahead and did my other door mod today before it started to rain. Moved some stuff around and wrote on the door what was in each.

I need to do this! I added the panels to mine since it was originally a base model. I believe the fasteners are different, guess I should look into what I need to make it work.

ModQuad skid went on pretty easy. I am missing a few screws and washers so I reached out to the seller, hopefully they make it right. I noticed mine is different than yours @joeymt33

Farm Rig doesn't have any hardware here:

Mine had two UHMW spacers that go under the skid here and a longer self tapper that went in that section, which seems to be a poor design on their part:

There's nothing to push against the top of the skid where you see the gap with the spacers installed since it's offset. I can definitely see where I'll need to add a few more washers/bolts to pull the front flush with the bottom (using a jack right now). Thinking about pulling the spacers out and seeing what it looks like. I'm curious if anybody else that installed this had issues, since it looks like the design changed since you got yours and others I've seen on the forum.

I actually just got off the phone with their "tech". I reached out this morning about the missing screws and washer. They replied in about 20 minutes and had them on the way to me. I asked about the big gap I was seeing where the front meets up with the two big center sections and they actually called me about 15 minutes ago. He said I should remove the spacers that were included. I'm pretty impressed by their customer service, can't speak to the durability of the product yet but it seems solid. Went on easily and everything lined up. I'll definitely need to add a few more screws/washers up front to get it to pull flush with the bottom.

Got the ModQuad skid on and drilled some extra holes for ventilation/drainage. I definitely need to add a few more after a good ride and wash. I can see where the water/mud wants to pool now so that's next on the list. When I get back from RRB later this month I'm going to fix my side rail too.

@aauman88 the skid seems solid to me. Hit a few stumps and logs on purpose and everything was still together when I checked! If you get one, install with only one of the included 1/2" spacers where the front piece meets up with the two center panels.

My little one is fascinated by the neighbors hay baler, she thinks it is so funny when it spits out the bale. "Dad, it poop a hay!!"

Also... sucks being the first one through the trail in the morning when these big bastards are out in force. Harmless, but still scare the s*** out of me when I don't see them until they are dangling off the roof. Pulled 7-8 off just from one thicket.

Needed to grab some cheap straps to help some friends move so stopped by harbor freight... Grabbed a 22" light bar that I was going to try and mount on the front using the Traveller pivoting mounts from tractor supply.

Ended up being too much of a bind when trying to tighten it all up so I moved it up to the ROPS

Took a ride around this morning and these doors are going to be awesome for the heat. Gained some heat near our feet after adding the full skid and these seem to let enough air move through to offset that. Hopefully it doesn't increase the dust too bad, but I don't think it will with no windshield.

They are just cheap ones from Home Depot. I wanted them to break if it was really in a bind instead of ripping the bumper off or pulling through. I've winched off of these numerous times now and they show no signs of deformation to the rings/brackets or the bumper.

The biggest thing is adding some extra material on the backside of the bumper where you are installing these. I've got 1/8" thick steel plate behind that entire area where it mounts.

Want to thank all the guys that put together the part numbers and how-to's for the trail-side tierod repair (@lee , @JACKAL , and others I'm forgetting I'm sure) . We were able to get him back up and running in about 45 minutes from start to finish with neither of us having ever changed one. Happened right after we got off Dragon's Back.
