P1000m3 Air Filter Gaskets?

Changing my air filter for the first time. The nee Honda Brand OEM filter came with two rubber gaskets. I can see where one would fit in a channel in the filter box, and there’s a channel for one in the lid.

However, my machine had neither gasket installed from the factory? WTH?

Should I use them? They supposed to be there?

Never mind… upon further inspection with a light, they are there. Just compressed where I couldn’t see them. I’ll remove with a pic and replace…

I've changed my filter 4 times in 16k miles and I have never replaced that gasket. I would only change it if it's damaged.
