P1000 Air intake tubing problem

I noticed a sizable indent in the plastic tubing that connects to the air pre filter. I can't tell if there is a seal or gap when I put the rubber boots back on.

Anyone know if this is normal?

Looks like someone overtightened that clamp and the tube eventually collapsed from the sustained load.

Must have come that way from the factory. It's only a couple months old and this is the first time I've had it off.

Mine was the same. I slid some three inch white plastic pipe in the sleeve and tightened it down.

I attached by mistake, it is a civil war cannon in a park in Port Jervis NY

Mine was like that but at the airbox connection...heat from the manifold cause mine...luckily i found it doing a leak test on the snorkel at the time.
