Was curious if anyone had drilled a couple of plates in their muffler to let it breath a little better and let out a little more sound.. Not a lot of sound just a more mellow tone.
I did this to my 2011 arctic cat 450. It started and ran better. I'm too chicken to try it on my 1000 yet.
Mee tooThere's a thread on here where someone modified the tip, it sounded great. I wish I could tell you where it was.

Never mind, found the sound file later in the thread.. Sounds like the spark arrester was removed too.Thanks. Large holes. Looks like 7/8 inch or close to it. Like to hear a sound file.
You didn't alter the spark arrestor?I drilled two 5/8" holes in the baffle today and it's perfect. Throatier and felt smoother on acceleration, but maybe it's all in my head.
Like this?I'm surprised a Chinese company hasn't come out with a louder tip for it. Like the ones for the foreman's and ranchers.
