P1000 Are dealer still asking over MSRP

This is a quote from Southern Honda Powersports who brags on having unbeatable prices, which used to be true. In Spring of 2019 you could buy leftover 2018 Pioneer 1000-5 Deluxe for $13400 OTD. I though I would give them a shot and this is the quote they sent me Feb 17th 2024 for a 24 P1K5D that MSRP for $20,399.00

Now I tried to reason with them by email, and even stopped in the at end of Feb. They didn't want to negotiate much.
Seen my local Dealer 100 miles closer got in the exact same color of this model I was looking for and negotiated a deal for $22K OTD that included everything and the OEM accessory front bumper that comes on the trail model. Not the best bargain but $5100 less than the lowest prices in the country dealer was willing to talk about. FYI

Good for you. My motto is of you're pleased with the deal then it's a good deal. No need to 'what if' yourself until you go crazy...

One other tidbit, my dealer said there is $500 in Honda accessory money on this 2023 Trail. I couldn't find that on Hondas website so I took their word for it. I put mine into the hard roof.

I've been looking at 1000 3 seaters or a 700 deluxe. For the price of some of these machines, I will just buy a Tacoma. I'll drive my 700-4 into the dirt, rebuild the engine, and drive it some more.
