P1000 Best bed extender option

I want to get a bed extender for my 1000-5. Not wanting to add the extra length of the cooler racks although they are very nice. Would like more of just an extender to go to back of tailgate when it’s down. That should give me enough room for my Yeti 45. Also hold in smaller stuff to rear of bed when seats are down and extender is on inside. Just asking what best setup is you guys have seen.

I too like the idea of a little extra room this offers. How does it ride. Does it lock into place, how is it secured?

Will the extender stand up if rear seats are used so tailgate will still close or if seats are up you have to have tailgate down and extender out?

It looks like it works like the Honda OEM extender but only with a extention. It would need to be either out or in.

I ordered one.. shipping was 78.00

I asked the guys at JEI ... he said it is about 20-23 pounds on the machine.

I got mine. I was very excited to get it installed. I stripped a bolt. Now my project is on hold until I figure out how to fix it.

Mine got here this week, if i have time I will install it.
stripped the bolt by over tightening??

It didn't line up well when I put it in. You will see when you install that it is a little tricky getting the bolt lined up with the threads on the nut because you are trying to do so through the tube of the bracket. And yes I evidently over tightened it trying to get it to snug up.
