It's frikken ridiculous. I flew into Deadhorse last week. Drove Deadhorse to Coldfoot. Nothing. Drove Coldfoot to dead horse. Nothing. Drove Deadhorse to pum station 3. Nothing. Left. Came back yesterday. Drove Deadhorse to Coldfoot. Saw one dead caribou on the road today. No live ones. Didn't even see the musk ox I normally see. No moose. No ground squirrels. Nada. But it's snowing. Yippee!

Yep. No herds. Got a letter from fish and game today about the nelchina herd being to big and needing to take females. Fall hunts over before I can get back out.

I helped a buddy up on the Denali Hwy this past weekend. I was looking for moose but he had a tag for any bou. Got a cow out of Moores Camp in the first three hours. Didn't see any herding though.

People have told me they'd be useless because of mud covering them. My answer was that I would wipe them off when needed... lol

Ya we haven't had good snow here in four years. Am I wrong by thinking they aren't herding because it won't be bad

Have any of you ever tried to stand on your OEM roof? A buddy of mine used a 3/4 inch piece of plywood on his Ranger, painted and sealed, for his roof. He uses it to sit on top of his machine and glass for animals. It works really well. Just wondering if the roof would hold my fat @$$... lol
