P1000 Delton's painfully slow build

Woke up this morning wondering if the 1" square tubing will be strong enough lol. Guess I dream about this crap too lol. I've got several sticks of 1.5" square. May make some supports out of it and see how it looks. That spare alone is alot of weight to be swinging around.

Made the other support today and halfway got it mounted. I'm really digging this thing. It's actually gonna be a nice rack lol. I ziptied it to the other side just to get a sneak peak of how it's gonna look. With it attached at both ends, it should be very sturdy piece. Bad news is gotta go back to the hell hole tomorrow and earn my keep. Got my fingers crossed I have Sunday off. And maybe even cut out overtime on Monday.

I went last night after work and got some 1.75" exhaust clamps to try out. I think they will eliminate the wiggling I got with regular Ubolts. I'll try to get them all mounted after work today or tomorrow. Anxious to get back on this but work keeps interrupting me! Lol

I stayed up couple hours last night and did a little bit. Got the tire carrier mounted.

That's close enough for me lol.

That should be plenty strong enough.

Big enough to carry a 5gal jug.

Finally got a day off from work and I put it to good use lol. Finally finished up the rough draft. Needs some more smoothing and of course paint. First I'm taking it to the mountain for a test run. Drum roll please.....lol

I'll probably cover it with brush on bed liner I got from Autozone made by rustoleum I think. It's been on the front basket I made for my Foreman for well over a year and has held up fine.

I don't blame you cause this thing is very heavy. May replace it with 1/4" material.
