Went to dealer yesterday and ordered rear knuckle bushings, collars, and 2 cv boot kits. That should get my rear straightened out.

I have to question getting your rear end straightened out? HA!

Thanks bud. Been meaning to attempt this for a while. Frees up bed space, protects tire (except rollovers lol) and still have rear vision. Heres earlier pics before i added some angle to it.

Its painted and installed. Came out purty good. Its not perfect (can tell where i sleeved tubes over hood) but hell its not supposed to be. I strive to give other people best work i can do, but when its for me, its all about function over form.

I wanted it to blend in and not be too noticeable. Almost went with flat black

Upper collars on backorder came in this morning. Gonna be all up in dat azz this weekend.

Hard at it this morning. Collars and bushings didnt look bad at all.

Added grease nipples.

Im thinking my problem may be the bolts. Anyone know if theyre supposed to be bigger on the ends?

Theyre showing wear marks.

The bolts may have worn the inside of those plastic bushings?

Seals were fine on drivers side but bolts show wear. Seals are toast on pass side but bolts look good lol. Also pass side had a bushing completely broken. She was ready for some tlc.
Btw the grease nipples i used out of that kit are perfect for these knuckles. They dont stick out on inside.

Very nice, I had to cut down the zerks on the inside of the tube which was a pain.

It’s so satisfying pumping grease in those after ride knowing they are staying clean and lubed.

Thats the kinda satisfaction /peace of mind im after lol. Only 1 knuckle, 1 wheel bearing, and 4 cv boots to go.....

Ill order new bolts and seals Monday. Thatll be a quick install compared to what im doing now lol

Btw i tried drilling tiny hole in collar so grease could be forced in between collar and bolt. Theyre hardened so no bit i had would do it. Good idea though

Did you at least cut a groove with a cutting wheel?
