P1000 Delton's painfully slow build

Twins are in respite, oxy has Donna knocked out, Meemaw watching other kids......and im so exhausted i cant even walk out to shop. My luck here lately

It's all good, I love forums for the good reads, the impressive fabrication skills, and the sarcastic banter. I did find it amusing that you were also into neons. Everybody loved to hate them, but man they are just a hoot to drive for some reason. I've had quite an extensive collection of cars in my life, but I can never forget my roots. Loved to see that R/t turbo project too... that was like the unicorn of the neon world. "Where can I find a 2 door shell of an ACR and who has a used turbo manifold for sale...?"

Ahh, I digress. Never being finished with a project is entirely the right idea! I too find it more fun to build it than to own it.

Youd love my 99 R/T then. .020 over 2 liter with srt4 turbofold in it. At 65, itd pull away frim a 4.6 GT.
Its been sitting for a while. Come buy the whole thing. Ill throw a starter on it and start it for you. Has aem fic, innovate uego, 03 srt4 injectors. Itd make you one fun project. I can post link to build if interested. Its on neons.org site.
Oh and arp fasteners from head to bedplate.

Finally remembered to order a fan switch. Soon as i get time ill hook it up and post some pics. Tee needs to be grounded then run a fused hot wire to fan. No more depending on ecu or dealing with faulty relay. This route is as close to bulletproof as you can get.

Inline twins are tricky when it comes to sound for my personal taste. Not quite the bark of a vee and not quite the scream of the inline 4. I see several canisters being used til im happy

Sorry @JeremieBaker i never got notification for this post. Yes we do foster care. Got 6 kids and 1 thats ours by blood. We have a set of 15mo old twins we hope to adopt. Weve had them since they were 5 days old

Picked up set of Canam beadlocks this evening. That makes 4 sets but money was right. Already got some rock rash on the rings so be a good set for trails.

I may swap to brass for rust concerns. I ran same setup in one of my cars for couple years with no signs of rust.

For the most part yes it is. Can be stress levels through the roof but rewards are many.
