Does Honda really want to sell side x sides???

So I'm not sure how I did it, but my son-in-law bought one from a dealer who I think was getting them from some other dealer. Bout a month later after driving his, he and I talked myself into one. Called same dealer. Two weeks later had a unit in my garage. This was 6 months ago. Every dealer we called except that one was out. Even though they advertised in stock units on the net. The local dealer in my town told me they wouldn't see any units for at least a year.

Same here.... Until Honda released the Talon R in 2019 I had no desire to own a SxS of any kind. I always thought the rubber band drive system was stupid and the YXZ's are/were so fugly I couldn't bring myself to buy one of those either.

You are right, they are hard to find, along with about any sxs. I just bought this one used last week from a dealership. They had it for about 2 months because it is completely loaded up. Lots of options I likely wouldn’t have done but, I really wanted one.
I have a 2020 Kawasaki Teryx4 LE sitting next to it in my garage that is for sale. So far everyone who has contacted me about doesn’t realize they can’t just go buy one right now.
Hope you’re able to find a Honda soon but, it doesn’t look promising.

Any company running a 5S type supply chain program have been hit hard. I'm sure honda wants to make as many as they can. But supply chains are broken with alternate supply already spoken for...
We already seen this with the Pioneer coming with off brand tires.

Things like tires can be easily exchanged. Primary and critical parts can not.

You are exactly right. Take a look at any car lot. Dealerships don’t like having empty lots, no return on investment for an empty lot.

It’s a great machine but it sits in my garage. It was a retirement gift to me and we never go anywhere with it . It’s time to let someone else have fun with her.
