We had a customer with an EV Ranger, we were building a Mule FXT for him.

He said the tires wouldnt go anywhere and if you put more agressive tires on it, the machine didn't have the ass to spin them.

If auto manufacturers havent gotten it figured all the way out yet, its going to be decades before powersports guys to make it happen.

Does everyone know that Auto manufacturers have been working on electrical vehicles for over 100 years?

I think your totally missing the point.
The amount of energy (in our house and in our cars) is not sustainable.
We need to reduce the energy usage through conservation and mitigation.
Things like riding the bus to work will save on the daily usage but also there is no need to mine the steel and lithium to make a car since you now ride the bus!
See how well that works. (all the while we are sitting on tons/barrels of coal and oil)

I think what your hearing is "if it is so good it will sell itself." Also quit cramming it down our throats by slamming your virtue signaling, often devoid of any critical thought, political mandates on our choices. I would submit that most of the folks on this board are technically inclined, and open minded enough to evaluate the merits of battery tech and decide for themselves without some political hack telling them what's good for them.
A major utility solar player (actually the customers) here in CO is paying 41 mil to get out of solar contracts because the massive solar farm in the San Luis Valley is a complete failure. The same folks who screech about soil bacteria being disturbed by UTVs cast a blind eye to predatory windmill bird choppers, and focused beam solar bird incinerators. Perhaps we can make electric utv charging stations in the outback from savaged parts from all the completely failed solar farms that now have to have all their toxic components disposed of. Naw, they would find a reason to hate that too.

This is coming from a person who has lived the off grid life for over 20 years on solar and done tons of stuff in the energy conservation field.

I'm a contractor in Montana it's -15 today battery's don't work in the cold.
The majority of my cordless tools are Milwaukee and are some of the best battery's I've ever been around. They give you the big F off it sub zero weather.
Public transit LOL what is that?
As a very avid outdoorsman I walk more miles in the mountains a year than I ride my atvs.
I believe climate change is real. up hear if your paying attention and you look back at photos of years gone past you can see it.
I don't see a viable replacement for fossil fuel. But I do believe if our tax dollars are going to be used for cooperate subsidies they should go to finding a better alternative and not the fossil fuel industries
But I'm a walking oxymoron I would probably shoot you if you tried taking away my diesel truck or my big ass V8s there is no substitution for the heavy rumbling heart racing power of the internal combustion engine.

Many times necessity drives innovation. Amazing how fast new technology comes when the cheese is moved. I work for you a technology company, as competitors make it harder to compete we miraculously come up with new innovation that keep our edge. Look what Tesla has done in a short time. Yes they only represent less than 1% of cars sold, but that’s how many of our technologies start out. Costs come down and then economics of scale drive costs further. I love my gas engines. Think about tools. Most of us use cordless tools now. 10 years ago they were not good enough due to power or battery life.
