P500 Fender flares

hi guys,

New here. Looking at getting a P500 this spring and planning on 30" tires on 12" beadlocks with more offset to keep some stability with the bigger tires.

Rode a P500 for the first time last week and was very impressed with the stability in stock form.

The reason for 30´s is because our trails are very rough with lots of rocks. My Rhino on 27" Mudlites did ok however I want more ground clearance and a smoother ride that I feel can be accomplished with big tires running low air pressures.

Does anyone make fender flares for the P500? I assume with any offset I will be getting mudy amd would like to avoid it if possible.

30s are over rated and you will kill your power!!!!!! U less they are light weight bias ply i can feel the power loss with 26" ripsaws

Do you know if all 26's cause reduced power??

I didn't feel any reduced power on my bighorn 2.0s. I felt better handling and easier turning

I feel better turning with the rip saws but the crazy weight of them definitely hurt the power but!!!!! Its an easy trade off for the pretty much indistructabllity of them and yes i might have just made up a word lol but its AWESOME lol

Are the 2.0's better or the originals?

They are lighter thinner lugs and thinner sidewalls they were made for atvs and small bore utvs so they dont get bogged down with the weight but same thread design just tad thinner and smaller

Never owned originals but they say the 2.0 is lighter. It took me a while to decide on tires. I chose these and I'm happy

Ive only been stopped with the ripsaws a few times and there was no tire on the planet that was making it through lol but ive also when through some places only a few will make lol i think the ripsaws bighorns and bearclaws are all a toss up pos and negs to each

The only flares I have found are expensive...and the front uses zip ties.....I need something soon Honda SXS Pioneer 500 Extras | TRAX | Trax Equipment

I have one idea to test, just ordered yesterday , will keep you posted. If no go then would install these Flexy Flares Side Mount Rubber Fender Extensions 2.25" wide and 4.25" Wide (by the foot)

Also, we have yet to locate a Pioneer 500 in the Phoenix area. If any of you have one and are willing to let us borrow it for a week, please let us know!

I think majority from my observation of P500 riders go with 26" tires, I did not see any good quality lift kit for P500 yet. I'm in Montana , we have direct Allegiant flight to Phoenix, fly me over with P500 and keep it for 2 weeks , jk.
