Firearm of choice for deer season?

What caliber, model rifle does everybody use for hunting deer. I prefer my old trusty Remington 700 bdl in 270 with 150 grain core lokts

I don't Hunt anymore but if I did, I have a Ruger RPR that's good for Long Range in .308 cal.

308 is a great caliber I have one in a Remington 700 adl arguably one of the most accurate gun in the safe.

My favorite 2 are my Savage 10ML II smokeless muzzleloader in 50cal and the Savage 10TH in 308.

Depending on stands and brush condition but my go to guns are a Remington BDL 30-06 shooting Corelokt 150gr pills and a custom 300Blackout shooting Barnes 110 gr TSX loads. Leupold glass on the 30-06 and Zeiss on the 300.

I love the bdl I have one in 270 30-06 300 win mag 7mm mag 243 and 25-06. By far the best bolt action there is in my opinion can’t beat the smooth operation!

I also enjoy the marlin 1895 guide gun in 45-70 in thick brush that’s if I want kick on both ends lol

I vary depending on my mood for the day. 6.5 creedmore, .50 cal. black powder or .44 magnum with 10.5 barrel. Working on a .270 next.

I don’t know how I forgot about BP! Flintlock is my favorite season here in PA. I harvested my first deer with a “build your own” .50 cal. TC Hawken. I now use a .45 Cal. Tennessee Valley Late Lancaster. It’s my ultimate deer whomper.

depending on where im hunting around. browning 270 130 grain silver tips, lever action, my mossberg 500 pump 3-1/2" with 00 buck. or if im in some terrain. my bfr .500 pistol 350grain jacket hollow point. allows for tracking, climbing, full body motion while carrying.

This would be my choice if I was buying a new rifle/scope combo today. I kick myself for not buying one a few years back at Academy when they had Tikka stainless/synthetic at $399. Heck, my safe had an open spot just calling out for it also.
