I got hungry so I made a grilled Parmasean-Cheddar cheese with apple slices sandwich . Pear with a smoked Gouda cheese mmmmm. Roast beef with Cotswold, chives and horseradish.... Fork! Now I’m really hungry.

A buddy came over this morning to drop off about 20+ lbs of Shiitake mushrooms for me to freeze dry. I get to keep half. The shrooms are from his neighbor's inoculated logs and were ready to be harvested but he and his family are leaving for a week and so is my buddy. The benefits of owning a freeze drier!
Not pictured are another 5 trays in the FD'er.
Abundance!

I just got a truck load of cases of food from my buddy. He's the Chef at the Pisgah Inn on the Blue ridge parkway and since they were closing down for the season and didn't want to see it all go to waste, he gave it all to me. I in turn gave a boatload of stuff to a couple of pastors and a few other friends. What I had room for I am storing in deep freeze until I can process (freeze dry) everything. I sliced up a whole case of lemons and ran a batch last night. They came out the same size and shape but reduced tremendously by water weight. They still have a strong concentrated lemon punch though! I also managed to do some fried green tomatoes, some sweet corn nuggets and some Garden Burgers. So much more to do...

I was also thinking about powdering some of the Freeze dried lemons to make a dry rub for fish and chicken...

You could use to make lemon aid in water bottles and some sugar there you go !

I just ordered some stuff from them . They're in Tennessee. My order should be here tomorrow. I'll show you what I got when I get it.

Low and behold, or at least, hold a whole case of lemons in one hand! What once was 30+ lbs of lemons is now more like 7 lbs of freeze dried lemons. It took 65+ hours for it to remove all the moisture, but they're still lemony potent!
Imagine having a nice fillet of FD salmon and some FD Dill and FD lemons packaged together for the trail somewhere....mmmmmm
I got my silicone mats today for FDing more stickier foods and easier cleanup.
Hopefully soon I'll be FDing some Venison Stroganoff!

Everything came bubble wrapped and individually wrapped
The grill inserts allow you to layer food items like the lemon slices.
Food tray scraper/scoop is awesome
A SS splash guard insert to replace the cheaper metal one inside the pump housing. Moisture over time causes it to corrode.
The Tray leveler for smoothing out sauces
A marked oil bottle for the pump oil
An extended pump oil drain valve.
