Is the spring upgrade something that needs to be done right away or can it be deferred for awhile? The two major mods I have left to do are 28" tires and shocks. If I have to buy new springs the overall cost of the shocks will put me in the tire and rim range. My oem tires are still in pretty good shape. I'm just trying to prioritize my next expenditure. Thanks for any input.

If you’re only running 28’s I wouldn’t worry about the springs. Bolt em on and enjoy.

Run them until you want something different.

I bolted mine on Saturday morning. No adjustments and I also gained about 1 1/2”.

They ride way nicer. I had them set at 1.

And before anyone asks, I cleaned it after I installed the shocks. 🤓

I got mine put on over the weekend and must admit that I noticed a difference just getting in and sitting down. The suspension actually feels like it has shocks now and rides/drives like a $14k (Sorry COVID purchasers, bought mine in 2018) machine instead of an oversized golf cart. The suspension has been my one big gripe since it was new, not sure why I put up with it this long.

HA! Welcome to the real world of shocks, the Fox's are way better than the stockers and you can go better, but the Fox's are more than adequate for most. Ride MFR! That's from Blazing Saddles! HA!

You shoulda rode in mine when I got it. It had 2500 miles with stock shocks, the previous owner put on Highlifter front arms, Highlifter bracket lift (makes it worse) and 30s inflated to 26 lbs (Fred Flintstone wheels.)

It was like riding on a brick.

I brought the tires down to 15 right away, then drove it like that for about 5000 miles until I couldn't take it anymore. It was bad, but I didn't really know if it could get much better.

Eventually, I got to the point where I didn't want to accept it as "good enough" any longer. Once I decided to drop the $$$, I changed my machine to something new.

Finally got em! Boxes are a little beat up by the time they get to Canada but all good. View attachment 297838
Mine showed up to Southern Arizona today also. Wish I was fully recovered from shoulder surgery to install them. I guess I'll just have to drool over the boxes till Nov.

Jacked up the bike to tweak it a little and I’m definitely not right. I know I need to bring the front end down because I’m about an inch higher up front than I am in the rear but that’s not my concern because I’ll adjust the fronts. What really caught my attention when I took the bike out to test ride it, the steering is very tight when when I turn and the wheel really wants to run straight. The bike doesn’t want to turn, wants to track straight. Hopefully taking an inch out of the spring compression will alleviate the problem. Anyone have any insight as to what I may be encountering? Thanks
