Well my p700 ran out of gas today and was still showing full... I filled it up and reset the trip. How do I fix it?

I’ll look in my shop manual when I get home.

Maybe the float is stuck?
That’s what I have been reading about. I’m hoping it will dislodge... I really don’t have time to mess with it till after hunting season. I beat on the tank a little, maybe it will help... I will probably take the fuel pump out next spring and have a look if it’s still acting up.

I guess if something has to go wrong that isn’t the worst thing. Hopefully it wasn’t a long walk to more fuel.

Mine usually stays full. I don’t put a ton of miles on it. I would hope it’s not rusted!

maybe carry a can and let it get low and bounce around. if its stuck might bounce loose during hunting season

FYI I removed the fuel pump today and reinstalled it and the fuel gauge started working again. Float was just stuck on the side of the tank. Do not buy either tool Honda recommends for the fuel line or the lock ring, they are not needed. On fuel line I gently used pliers to squeeze the collar and remove. On fuel tank lock ring I used a large screw driver and rubber mallet to tap it and make it turn. Simple job...

hello William I was wondering if when you took out your fuel pump unit because the float was stuck if you happen to remember which part of the tank it was stuck on front ,back, driver side, or passenger side. mine is only reading 4 bars when it's full to the neck. don't think mine will b as easy because of the cab.THANK YOU.
