We have shell filling stations here, I always fill my jugs with v-power (93 octane) and put Star-tron stabilizer in. I do this for everything in the garage: four wheelers, pioneer, mowers, etc.
Around us there are plenty of stations that sell recreational gas (Non-Ethanol) 90 octane and selling in the mid to upper $2/gal range - that's all I use in all my small engines, including the P500.

I use real non ethanol gas in everything but the truck and car. I do not use stabilizer because between the 500 and chainsaw leaf blower etc even getting 10 gallons at a whack it does not last long. We ride even in winter and I use the 500 almost daily around the place for one thing or the other. We live in a rural are so the dog and I might just take off down a dirt road for 15 minutes to look for deer and squirrels. The dog likes that.
I use non ethanol gas for the 500, lawn mowers, chainsaws, garden tiller and snow thrower....I fill 4 - 5 gallon cans at a time...this past summer it was costing about 60 bucks to fill them, that was when the Summer gas was at a high..
