Are there spare fuses on my Pioneer 500? Tried wiring up too heavy a load for the 12volt dash outlet & blew the fuse. I’m disabled so asking before I struggle to get to it under the hood. Thank you.

@JTW, This is a 500. Fuses are fairly hard to get to.

Stand by @hondabob64. I'll hunt up some info for you.

You will need to remove the battery cover. Be warned. The top bolt can be a PITA. There are reports of the holding nut spinning and it will not come loose. If this is the case we will need to consult with some of the 500 guys on the best fix.

Once the lid is off you will see the fuse box cover.
The one you are looking for is the 15A ACC fuse.
There are spares on the side.

The fuse/battery box is just in front of the right rear wheel.

The top nut will almost certainly spin. You can maybe stick something in the back to hold the rectangular nut temporarily. I drilled a hole in the box in the proper location so that a small screwdriver or the allen in the tool kit could be inserted to hold the nut.

The battery box on the 500 is an absolute joke.

The battery box bolts are notorious to strip out easily! The best fix is to drill out the bolt and the metal clip behind battery box. Then attach lid with zip ties! Goodluck
