You can make any weld presentable with enough grinding and paint!

1/8th in plate just a little bigger than the shackle, big fender washers, and grade 8 bolts....it aint pullin through.

That’s how I did mine. Just be aware you’ll hear them occasionally and think “what the hell was that?”

Looks good! That’s what I did (with a plate) when I had those types of D rings. Held good.

Finally got the other crossmembers reinforced. Its so much easier to do this stuff with a lift!

What'd you use to reinforce them? I had some angle but it ended up sticking out to far so I need to get something else.

Ruff stuff tube reinforcement... @ToddACimer reccomended them and they fit great in there. You will need 2.
