That’s awesome, thanks Todd!!!! Is that something that you’re selling???

No. I've made a few but it's more work than my time is worth. I should really draw up the bracket and have a pile cut. If all I had to do was form them they'd be cheap and easy

Sure thing Delton, thank you for the generosity. Let me know how you’d like me to take care of that....:)

I'm a late comer to this forum and need to get a parking brake rigged on my machine. I have the lever and the means to cut and make a bracket but don't know the dimensions or what it looks like. Help anyone? I tried the Hillbilly Brake route but he is out of stock and has a waiting list.

I would agree it's worth the wait. It's still clumsy to engage but I really like how it auto unlocks and takes all the guess work out of it being disengaged.

I agree, I really like the Auto Unlock and it holds the pioneer better than the bbq lever I took off.

I have some brackets already cut and drilled somewhere in my mess from moving. Be happy to mail you one. Personally the "other" brake is overpriced. Yeah some nice machine work but damn it's just a parking brake. My <12 dollar lever has yet to let me down. And that includes vehicle sitting on side of a 53 degree hill in gear with motor running lol.

The lack of a parking brake of the 1000 is the main thing I'm missing from my 700. We have a few acres and travel alot around the local BLM ground and I always like to leave the machine in drive and just apply the brake when opening up gates or unplugging sprinklers. I thought the HillBilly brake was a little spending but I liked the idea that it would automatically release when you depress the brake. A persons naturally tendency is to push on the brake before driving off. I saw the write ups for the linelock and cam lever brakes, but I knew I would forget and leave it on. I remember when CP was on his 2nd 1000 and he had to change the clutch out and believed it was partly due to leaving the brake engaged and I knew then I wanted something that would automatically release. The HillBilly brake is the answer and has worked great for me. Sure I could have made something but sometimes it is just funner to ride the rig vs work on it.

I really like the ingenuity of your guys design and really wanted to do it myself. I regularly left the park brake on my 700 and just knew I didn't want to hurt the clutch in my new 1000. I'm sure if it was winter time I would have made something but it's starting to get too nice to tinker on it.

That's originally @toddcimer creation using the lever brake. The mount I used is super simple to make. I've given a few away since i made extras lol

Got the Hillbilly brake installed on my bike yesterday, works great! Little tough to get on if you have big hands like me but well worth the money!
