Fired it up this afternoon for the first time in a week. The trans won't shift. The "1" gear indicator and engine light are blinking 8 times. Does anyone know the problem for this code? Rig has 90 hours and has ran flawlessly so far.

Possibly try accessory fuse.

I recommend disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to see if it resets.
If it happens again I would take it to the dealer.

I recomend checking any plugs you can find to insure they are properlly seated.
Also, locating and checking the grounds.

The only reason I suggest that fuse is back a few months ago I had a code of 8-1 which does look like 9 and the limp mode. It turned out it was the acc fuse which made no sense to me and I've pulled it since and couldn't duplicate it but that fuse was blown. Tried pulling battery over night the whole thing. Came back in the morning with a clear head and checked fuses found it blown replaced it started right up and never again a problem. I'm hoping its that simple for you

Did battery pull clear the codes? I think it does but not 100%.

Didn't for me. I left it overnight too it was still flashing and low power in the morning. I'm sure you remember when I had the trouble but it was along the same lines. Went into limp, only allowed 1st manual and and flashed 8-1. I think when you checked the code it said low power to ecu I believe. Went through all the relays swapped them all and went back to the fuses. There was a 10amp in the 15 spot but was burnt. I sure as hell don't remember replacing it either with that 10. But dropped a new fuse in and never had a problem since. Couldn't tell you what took it out or why that would effect crap but it did on mine.

Code didn't reset after unhooking the battery for about 10 minutes. All fuses are good. Watching the lights it looks more like 8 slow flashes. ?
