Somehow landed here today. Great info. Got me curious if mine had the updated air box and radiator deflector. See pics, but it's a 6/17 build 1000-5 deluxe - has both. Thought that would be a point of reference for folks with newer models and weren't sure what theirs were equipped with.

With that in mind, given mine has the revised air box, is it just less susceptible to water ingestion or really no different?

Yours should be better equipped to handle high speed splashing through standing water, but it by no means replaces a good snorkel setup for submerged driving.
Even if commanding a submarine isn't your thing, you should still extend all of the vent lines up. Especially the sub-trans, rear diff, shift cable box, and fuel tank vent because those are all at or below seat level.

Got it - yes plan to relocate / extend vent lines. May end up having to go with the under dash / radiator hose snorkel just to free up space, though. Can't bring myself to drill a hole in the hood, haha

Is there a trend on here to show what all vent lines need extended and there location? Thanks.

Pro Caliber is generally a good source, but I couldn't find the P/N's on their site when I last checked and they didn't respond to my email.
Does the bulletin provide any installation instructions? Is there more to the bulletin than the one page?.if so, will someone post, please?
Thanks
Chuck

Only thing besides popping old cover off and installing new is drilling holes that secure the block up mechanism that seals the old way of getting air or some call it "the plug". Just remove the pre filter drop the plug in place, drill the two holes out where you see the push pen head in the pic I added then push the push pins in place and that secure the plug. Install pre filter in new air box, snap it into place

Yes they are available. I installed mine last week on my 2016 P1K. Honda dealer here in Ms had it in stock for $25. Just drill two holes for push tabs for hole cover and snap new cover in place. 10 minute fix.

Looks like a simple fix. The owner of the dealership was talking to me about the water fix and said he felt like Honda should be giving these away, I bet he's selling them for cost. $ 11.00

They probably are if you bought your utv from that dealership but I didn't. I was just glad there was a fix without cutting the hood for a snorkel.

$25 shipped. Didn't know there was a kit. I guess I should have shopped around!
The dealership made a mistake and ordered the heat fix for the Radiator for $ 11.00 Not the water ingestion fix for $ 30.00, now I have both! The radiator deflector is a pain to install, pulled both front tires and left shock, then you could half way see what I was doing, install middle push pin first then sides, it would have been nice to have a really long set of needle nose pilers for the right side pin, actually all of them

I'd say you lucked out since you had the holes
