I got the wiring mostly finished tonight. I may reroute some of it, not completely happy with it. 59b3045c843cd5f9d7bcd60dbbe8e117

Mounted the roller fairlead tonight too. Just as an FYI, the Badland roller fairlead has a 6 1/2" wide bolt pattern. The one on the pioneer bumper is 6". I just drilled 4 new holes in the fairlead and the bumper. I decided to go with the KFI mounting plate. I figured the extra stability with the additional 2 bolts would be good with the angle of the cable coming off the winch. 6191383b0ae5995b6864fbe4c27a0ec3

The KFI mount should be here Friday. I should finish the winch project up this weekend. Everything is ready and waiting......36ee01168bd098278948efa810d01a6f

The winch is mounted and operational. It fits like a glove on the KFI mount. I may reroute some wiring but other than that it's good to go. 43dcc1386a3440e2f39ea1eb2d22101e83e5f1b693468e487043a5c7af243432

Looks like my winch bumper fab job will be sooner than later. I sunk the p1k5 Saturday. We were at Rush Off Road in KY and I got about 2' too far to the left. First try to get out was with an Arctic Cat Wildcat hooked onto me. Spooled out his winch rope and with no tow hooks I just hooked him onto my winch hook. He tightened up on it and my cable broke. I got out my tow strap and wrapped it around the upright and tube. Hooked the other end on a can am maverick x3, pulled the cat in front of that and hooked him up. They moved me about 6" and you can see the bumper carnage. Some more folks came by and a dude stood on top of a highlighter rzr and put a snatch block in a tree. We hooked his winch onto my to strap and hooked a teryx 4 onto the back of the Rzr. Came right out with the new angle. I'm replacing my cable with synthetic ripe and working on my new bumper design. New one will have two tow hooks and the winch mounted on top. I'm thinking about using the round tubes from the stock bumper on the top of mine. We will see........C27487d04f235b5ce98e2713ab36a60879e5cae996ed4cd03ca3bb1486c59f49

That's very impressive because me and Delton have stalled a super winch 4500 pound with it double through a snatch block hooked back to the top tube. His was hooked in the center of the top tube so I'm not sure if that would make a difference or not.

That is an interesting angle/twist to your front bumper.

I got my new replacement rope and hook on the winch. Finally got the bumper back on. It spring when I took it off. Couldn't get it straightened back out, but it's on and better than it was.

I haven't posted in a while. I told you this would be excruciatingly slow..... I decided to save some money on a roof and make my own. I decided on 1/8" ABS. I maybe should have gotten thicker, but I went with this yo keep the weight down. I had to buy 2, 4'x8' sheets yo cover it. I ordered 20, rubber lined, stainless "p" clamps off Amazon. I just have to pick up bolts and washers now. I cut it down to manageable sizes with my circular saw. Going to make final cuts with table saw. I'm planning to roll the front over 4"-6" for a visor. I will probably put some of the foam tape like goes under a truck topper between it and the cage and put rubber door edge trim around the edges. I may have to put a support back the center to keep it from drooping slightly, not sure yet. Hope it turns out good and lasts a while. I will have under $150 in it......6e77a1b09095c2582c668d52d4a40de89c2afe8a00026faff9fa1edd88d0635c61c7946482f3357966ebb9206f771343

I bought it from a salesman that comes to my workplace. The sales company is General Rubber and Plastics. They are based in Lexington, KY, but have several locations.
