  1. 1000-3
As the title states, I’ve owned this 2016 base P1000-3 for two years this month. Bought it from a neighbor that used it for riding the neighborhood with minimal hours/miles for a 3 year old machine. Only additions he had done were factory roof at purchase, and a 32” curved light bar hung under the roof on front ROPS.

The factory tires were getting bald and I ordered wheels and tires as soon as we agreed on a price.

Been using it as-is for hunting and around the yard at my shop. After all this time of researching this forum and the internet, finally decided it was time to make it what I wanted. Started with the dual battery kit from the club store and added the Odyssey battery.

Next was a 4500# synthetic rope winch from Rough Country with winch mount & 2” front receiver hitch from KFI. Front receiver is for game hoist, have some 2x2x3/16” aluminum tubing left over from a job at work that I’m welding up.

I moved the front curved light bar to the roof (for the moment), and added 12” light bar from Nilight to the rear of the roof. Thought I was going to use the trigger light switch from store for the rear, but have decided to put in standard rocker.

Ordered flip-up windshield from SuperATV and really like it after I got everything adjusted just right.

Things I’ve got left to install:
- Key on power and solenoid
- Blue Seas fuse block
- Switch panel from Mystic with:
switches from club store
dual volt meter
USB charger
corded winch control
2 wire connector for trickle charger
- Pod lights from Nilight (need to find light brackets that actually fit the ROPS joint)
- Red rock lights for cab lighting

Thanks for all the help thus far, I’ll be asking for more guidance soon. Won’t be able to do anything else until next year when last few parts come in and I get back from hunting in Texas.

Thanks! I forgot that I ordered the intake cover and I did extend the vent lines right after I bought it. I’ve drank a lot of beer over the last couple years. Lol!

Good going, and nice work so far!

I thought about putting the pods on the ROPs also, but then used spacers and longer bolts to put them on the edge bolts just inboard. (I'll replace current spacers when I get to my shop at the airport . . . and remember to do it!). For the trickle charger, I've standardized on Powerlet plugs (reliable, weather proof when cap closed etc.) Another plus is I can use the same jack for outside accessories (air compressor etc).

Thanks! The pods I’ve got are too deep to fit on existing hood bolts and face forward, got to to come up with another plan. I moved the trickle charger connection to aux battery and will use the connector below mounted in the switch panel. It’s the same connection I have on my spray rig, feeder & seeder which have inline switches that I can use in the cab while driving. Nice looking rig, I really like the camo.

Rough country makes brackets that utilize the two lower bolt holes on the ROPS. I bought the kit with the POD lights, but you may be able to buy just the brackets. Here are a couple pics.

I checked for the brackets (only) from RC a few days back and didn't see them available for purchase. My guess is that they don't want to sell you their brackets so you can use them with someone else's lights.

Might be worth a call, maybe they aren't a standard stand alone item on the website, but they would sell them to you. Who knows.

Finally got around to installing the key on switch & solenoid. Also put in a 12 circuit Blue Seas fuse box. Glad I went with larger than I planned, I’ve used it Got the last of my switches in and wired them. I really the like having EE76B553 37B4 4000 9E4E 959F8C3DD3C3C846AEF6 5A55 45C7 A754 A289E48128C3

the key on/aux switch from the the club store. Modified the pod light brackets I had ordered from Amazon and made them work.

Installed 2 red rock lights for dome lights on a dimmer and am happy with the way it turned out

Next was the Ecoxgear sound bar and Big Sky gun rack. 92B14B2B 952C 425C 8CDE BA005EDDB420

Couldn’t get the video of the sound bar playing to load. It’s loud and exactly what I expected it to be, happy with the purchase. Will run the wiring through the fuse block once I tidy them up.
I’m sure I’ll come up with other things to do/add. Taking a break on the Pioneer and focusing on fixing up a 2003 Rancher to give to my nephew. Might post that in the ATV section if it gets interesting.
