P1000 Is it possible to tighten shock spring load on FOX Shocks while on machine?

Title says it, is it humanly possible to tighten the FOX shock pre-load collars while still mounted to the machine? Maybe getting spring compressors and using a chisel?

Yes, but I found it much easier and faster to do with the shocks off.

A good dousing with aeroKroil makes adjusting the suckers easier

Order a proper spanner wrench, clean the bodies well, like above, use a lube to help resist galling while adjusting.
CLEAN spotless threads are vital!

I found it was a lot easier to pull the wheel off then the top shock mount loose. It gives you a lot more room to work.

Yup.. I leave the bottom attached and just pull the top. Works like a charm.
