@JACKAL
A few questions on your build!
Why not a second battery?
Will the seats still flip up for passenger with the Milwaukee packout mounts?
Do you not feel the forward A arms are needed, even with allowing 30s for more ground clearance?
ReasonI ask is we had lots of trouble with certain trails at takeover back in 2022/2023 I can't remember which year it was. @Bama-Daniel was with us that trip. He cleared alot that we got hung up on. The top of world trail gave us lots of problems because trail was so rough and rutted. I haven't been down there since but wanted your take. I value your opinion greatly on here!!! Thanks
I just don't need a second battery, IF I need to winch much: A - I really F'ed up, B - I'll be running the engine. I don't need a stereo to offend people 2 states over, so no big power draw.
Yes my rear seats still flip up with the Packout mounts in place.
I feel that GOOD UHMW skids and A-Arm Guards on all 4 corners go a long ways to keep me from getting hung up, may drag a bit, but you can slide through the stuff with momentum. Also NO ONE makes A-arms that have bushings which will last as long as OEM, as many miles as I run, I don't have time to be messing with A-Arm adjustments from loose jam nuts and premature ejaculated bushings. Simple as that, not to mention it is inferior suspension geometry.
30" tires on a Pioneer 1000-5 is like 44"s on a Prius, don't belong, drives and handles like crap, period. Anyone trying to convince you otherwise it's too ashamed to admit they blew $2K on tires and A-arms that made the machine handle worse. Not to mention it beats the crap out of your steering rack and tie rods.
That's my opinion, like A holes, everybody has one. But I do what works for me not because it's cool or somebody else that runs 10% of the miles I do a year says it's better than Texas Roadhouse rolls. (That ought to tell you right there they be lying and don't know their but from a hole in the ground) 😁
