That’s one of those marketing things where they have 3 in the entire store but they advertise them in their paper anyway

I found a resource that has a file to add most common used frequencies.
Survival Channels for Baofeng Programming SHTF-HAM-FRS-PMR-GMRS-MURS-MARINE-WEATHER-BUSINESS

Survival Channels for Baofeng Programming SHTF-HAM-FRS-PMR-GMRS-MURS-MARINE-WEATHER-BUSINESS

They have a CSV file you upload using chirp.
That is some great info. Love the printable chart.

I have this file saved as a favorite in my iPhone photos so it’s easy to find.

That's a great idea. I broke down and got two 50 watt mobile radios. On the VHF channels this unit has several reviews of it putting out 80 watts and 60 watts on UHF.

And these two handhelds.

Can't wait to get these programmed and installed next weekend.

I have no experience with the mobile you bought but I am sure you will like it. I do have that same handheld and it does a good job. I would recommend that if you are considering a Speaker mic for that handheld that you skip the Boefang one (it is junk) and instead order the Btech speaker mic https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Z4X3MM6/?tag=sxsweb24-20

That’s the handheld I have... I really have no complaints other than they have to be charged. That’s my only reason for going with the wired unit.

There is a battery eliminator accessory, a little pack that goes in place of the battery with a coiled extension that plugs into the cigarette lighter socket.

All UV-5R accessories are compatible with the BF-F8HP model.

So I broke down and purchased a TYT TH 8600. Now I’m trying to program it. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

I have downloaded Chirp but when I pulled in the usb cable it said that the usb is not supported.

I don’t believe that Chirp supports the TYT-8600 as of yet. Your best bet is to go to the TYT site and download the latest software from their site.

Chirp doesn't work with that one. You have to download their program but it's really easy. Then I can send you a file to load with all the channels you need. @Ragnar406 is a whiz at this and really helped me out. I can send you more info when I get home to my computer.

I had to install a USB driver for my programming cable. The link to it was in my instructions. I got the exact same initial message. Once driver was installed everything worked fine.

Know this post is older, but heres a front P500 ROP OEM clamp option for a mobile unit (TYT TH8600). Temp. Used the mirror clamp until extra clamp arrived, clamps are less than $10.
2 way radio mount success

Link to the clamps that you ordered please.
Getting ready to get the Alien Shade, so going to have to move mounting location to ROP.
