I have seen people using gate hinge to make the gas pedal easier on your foot fatigue. I have seen a video of someone making one but I can't seem to find it.

I'm a DIY kinda guy too, weld, machine, invent mechanical stuff, and mostly willing to work my hind end off to save a nickel. In this case, just buy the darn thing. For being a "hinge" it's a very nice and well made hinge, hardly worth the effort to fab one in the shop IMO. :)

2 x 10 board. I took this before it had been painted black. Changes the angle of your ankle and lets my short wife be able to reach the pedal with her heal on the board, rather than jabbing it with her toe which causes the lurching action.

think I'll try this too. Picked up 10'' hinge on amazon and will cut some off to have a wider contact point. Probably would have purchased throttle max if it was reasonably priced. ($50 max)

Turned out Pretty good with 10'' hinge. $10 hinge and couple screws/bolts and scrap metal piece. I would have offset it a little to the left if doing again to keep Hinge pin section from contacting sloped floor on right. 7'' hinge would have worked as well

I used basically the same concept. I just had some scrap 2x4’s laying around and glued them together. It works like a charm. There’s a small piece of conveyor belt under mine to keep it from sliding around.

I covered my bottom side with a piece of treadmill belt, it never moves. My buddy just ran a screw through his board and floor.

Just got done putting this one together in about 5 minutes with scrap 6" wide pine boards and 2 wood screws. It worked good for me first time out. I may tweak the design a bit but it's pretty much good as is. Seems to stay put and still easy to hit the brake as needed. Much easier on the ankle angle at least for me.

I did kinda the same thing with a couple 2x4,so glued together side by side, and put a small piece of conveyor belt under it to keep it from sliding. Mada world-famous difference!
