An enclosed with 2 pioneers and all the gear? Heck don don't get that with a goose neck. And dirtymax. Granted it's a lot of weight. But no matter what I've towed. It comes down to wind drag.
Dons trailer is 8000lbs, add three loaded pioneers I think it was close to 14500, it was around 7 I think, and it wasn’t running 70...at least while Joey and I were driving. To move 22000lbs it did really well.

Here’s a pic of my mileage at some point this week. It settles at 8.8 when running 72-74. It’s been over 10 on the short runs to the rides this week due to the lower speeds.

Not bad mileage for a lifted truck on 34” 10 ply tires. I’m loaded in the bed with luggage and three coolers. 4 people in the cab. The trailer has gas cans, axles, tires, etc. plus the trailer is 8.5’ wide and 9.5’ tall. Trailer base weight is 3000lbs before I added the large optima battery, winch, E-track, and spare tire.

On the interstate it’s constantly under boost, usually around 6-8psi. Coolant stays at 210-216 and trans temp hasn’t crossed 200 yet. When I need to pass something, I can get to 90 PDQ considering the load.
All you “mileage matters” guys are killing me. I’d betcha I’d get 16+ at 75 with that load in a 30yo pos. Hell the school bus fully loaded pulling a trailer doesn’t hit single digits. Just saying:rolleyes:

I like it! I may end up wishing I’d have gotten the 2 tone. Who’s house?

Hey I know I own a pos in most people’s eyes. Call things as I see them. But there isn’t a millennial driving the s*** I do, they can’t it’s a manual lol.

Yeah but this is my office and I need a comfortable riding vehicle and options. That Cummins will go a lot more miles and do it more efficiently but I don’t want the truck that’s wrapped around that 12v motor. It would require four front end changes before the motor ever needed work. Mileage and durability is more important to you than me. I also want decent mileage and durability but I drive too many miles to keep a truck for a decade. I wish I could keep miles down because I probably would buy an old 12v ram truck. But why would I go buy another truck just to sit around? The company puts the fuel in this one and the benefit is I get to use it for work and personal use. My coworker @DGann is now putting over 50k miles a year I believe. He drives more than I do by a little. So you can see that we both have justified reasons for what we do. I don’t see you going out and buying a brand new truck just as equally as you see me daily driving a 30-year-old truck 50,000 miles a year.

And yet you rented a truck when you went to Takeover...
2000 in tires I would’ve needed because I was planning to drop it and would’ve needed wheels too. Minus truck rental we were already at 4K for that trip so every dollar mattered but we were coming. Just now did I finally even get tires. Truck would’ve went. I’d take off in my current truck if we were to come. Honestly rental was only 700 for the trip which is cheaper then most people’s truck payments, almost stupid to take my own on that trip for that money!

Cousins house. It’s stupid but I ain’t complaining to anyone here. I’m ready to go back home and work in the shop and do some chores around my own place. You can’t hardly get any chores done around here because of the maid service.

And there it is! Dad has a 2001 Cummins sitting in the garage with 70k on it... it’s great for its purpose but wouldn’t work for me showing half million dollar lake house out of!

I really like my F150. But I don't think i'd buy an XLT again. I miss too many of the creature comforts I had in my mildly loaded trailblazer.
Leather seats,
Memory recall on seats.
Auto climate control.
I'd love the Lariat LED headlights.
If mine were to be replaced tomorrow. I'd buy almost identical truck to @JTW with the exception of the 6.5 bed vs his 5.5.
