I have been sitting on this 1 of 1 “SPECIAL EDITION” white one . I am always willing to take blind risks. I had to leave for a business trip the day after it came in. I plan on installing it tomorrow though. Looks like the white will fit in good with the white plastic. I thought the black might not look good or stick out in that white spot. So I bent High Pockets arm for this white one. We shall see tomorrow!

Man that White is gonna look Sharp with your ride. I had to twist his arm for a blue one, but man I'm glad I did.

Ok it is installed and it turned out great. It doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb as I thought the black might. Enjoy these pics. I originally was going to do the kwt particle separator but I thought it was bug and bulky and didn’t like the cheap hose. So I went with this when I saw it posted by high pocket. By the way there is a recall coming out next month for the screws not being tight around the rubber intakes inside the filter box and they get sucked into your engine and destroy it. One of the two were almost out so I tightened them up to the ten mm gap and gnarled it at the end of the threads so it can’t back out.

I like it! It just disappears on the bike, almost unnoticeable with white tube and black filter.

the appearance of the S&b and KWT is my main dislike. They both function fine. I sell KWT because they alllowed me to become a dealer. S&b would not. I’ve sold a lot of KWT filters too. I should see if they want to partner up for my intake tube. That would help with the aesthetic appeal.

@Indiana SxS, is that the R2C filter from Highpocket74?

As much as I hate to admit it because of the $hitbag way they handled the defective air filter debacle that killed some of the members here engines, that's a great pre-filter. It's made to be just that and isn't as restrictive as a normal air filter and flows lots of air. I used one on my racecar all season and the stock air filter still looked brand new when I took it out. One word of advice though, if you can, put a zip tie around the base of the outwear filter cover. That filter sucks so much air that it even tries to suck dust in past the elastic on the bottom of the outer cover. With the zip tie around the base that prevents this from happening and keeps the dirt confined to the outer cover for easy cleaning.

Nice, I will try that if I keep it on. I am going to try the desert filter that high pocket suggests and see if it fits. I thought the desert one would hit my radio antenna there on the rear windshield so I went with the r2c. But now that it’s on their I think the desert will fit.

All of the first batch of tubes have sold. I'd already ordered parts for the second batch of 25 tubes last week so hopefully late this week to early next week I'll have parts to weld!

For the next batch I will be posting those as available in my website store as I get closer to shipping. This way customers can purchase as a pre-order and it will be SO MUCH easier for me to keep track of. When I'm close to shipping, the guys on my list will be notified by email that they can purchase their kits. After that email goes out purchases will be open to anyone. By using pre-orders I'll be able to better guage how many I'll need to make to stay ahead of orders. With my current suppliers and some new ones shipping delays should be no more than 2-3 weeks max.

Also met with a local powder coat shop and they can do matte black and gloss white colors with no up charge for the white color. I'll list that as a purchase option.

Another purchase option for a very limited time will be the R2C filter and screen. They are good filters. Once they are gone I'm not getting any more. I'll strictly offer Desertcraft with the kits. Better products and much better support.

Seriously, I think it would have taken about 1/4 as much time to actually cut the hole and install the kit had it not been for those pushpins. As reported by others, the part fit is superb, the look is clean and factory. I am MORE than pleased!

Seriously, I think it would have taken about 1/4 as much time to actually cut the hole and install the kit had it not been for those pushpins. As reported by others, the part fit is superb, the look is clean and factory. I am MORE than pleased!

Not acceptable. You are required to post pictures of yours installed. Also the Pushpins are going to be the hardest part for most. I looked at the photos and they were right were they showed. I have Mud Busters on my fenders, so that was an additional pain on top of the push pins. Had to remove them halfway.

I have a lift and that made the push pin experience much more survivable and my back is happier vs doing that off a floor jack.

My inner fender stayed off for months while developing these and testing for the very reason of Mudbusters and all the push rivets! I just put my inner fender back on last weekend.
