New Talon Pre-filter Snorkel

I just stuck my neck out and committed to purchase a min order of 50 Desertcraft filters, custom made with a 3" outlet solely for this product. The filter body is the same size but the outlet mold size is different. This will eliminate the adapter part. My gut says it's the right thing to do and these will continue to sell but my credit card said I'm crazy! DC says it will take 4-6 weeks to receive these filters. In the mean time, I'll continue using the 4" filters with adapters.

After talking with Adam390, the P1000 snorkel mods also use a 3" filter so these DC filters will work for those mods also. And I may be able to whip up a similar kit for the P1000 guys later.

Today was the first day of pre-order deposits and I received 3 orders with deposits. That will certainly help with raw material purchases. Thanks to those who made an order with deposit.

Just put in a pre-order also, I currently have the S&B set up but am tired of the noise and how much room it eats up. Looking forward to trying it out.

My inner fender stayed off for months while developing these and testing for the very reason of Mudbusters and all the push rivets! I just put my inner fender back on last weekend.

The plastic panel that encloses the air intake snorkel under the passenger side rear fender. It's not necessary but I put mine back on anyway. Keeps the passenger seat belt cleaner.

Aluminum tubes arrived yesterday, cover plates scheduled for delivery today. Looks like welding for me on Saturday!
Sunday afternoon through Monday I'll be out of town. Powder coat next week as many as I can get completed and ready to ship to fulfill current orders.

Got mine put on yesterday. The hardest part is pulling the push pins. Though a push pin pliers makes it much easier. In all I think it took me about 45minutes.

One of the best tools I ever bought from Harbor Frieght was push rivet pliers.

I have to work Saturday. 😠. One of the chemical plants we service called in an emergency job today. But I was able to weld up & tubes this evening. And my cover plates came in looking great!!

Send cut send did an excellent job. I sent them the cad files and in 8 days I had my aluminum parts. Subtract 2 days for the weekend and that’s quick. Although if you are not cad experienced, using them could be difficult. It took me 3 tries to get the cad file like they wanted it and I’ve been doing cad for 28 years!! I’ll gladly use them for other pinch times.

Got mine installed tonight. The spot on template made drilling the hole easy. It seems to work well with the “soft” rear window as well. I even think the black blends in nice on an orange machine. Awesome craftsmanship very well thought out

3 inch hole saw. It was tight but didn’t require any trimming

NOTE: if you are installing fender extenders, install this first. lol

Picked up 10 kits today from powder coat. Invoices for order balance will begin going out and once paid I'll ship parts. This weekend I'll get started welding up more kits. May take a little while for me to catch up with pre-orders and let everything settle down to a comfy pace.

Just a 3" 90 from lowes.
It's a hair too big so I added few rounds of elec tape and zoom in you can see I cut slits to clamp it.

This one.
Small end fits the tube. Big end fits the filter.

But.. if he gets the custom filters it will need to be different.
Mine had a spacer I removed and it fit the pipe well.
