I sold my old 2005 5'x10' landscape trailer today and purchased a 6'x12' trailer to haul the 500 across America on. Amazing thing is I paid $800 for trailer in 2005 and sold it 12 years later for $700! I plan on adding a truck bed style tool box in the front to haul extra stuff and recovery gear. Plus, I'm gonna mount some Jerry cans and a ?side mount to carry my kayak? Let the builds begin in earnest!

Looks good, with plenty of room to spare. I'm looking for a 14 foot with a side load gate at the moment. Want to be able to haul my wife's Rancher side ways and pull my P5 up behind it. Getting tired of loading hers in the bed and mine on the trailer.

Call Buckner's Trailers just outside of Mars Hill NC . By far the most amazing prices in WNC. 828-777-7333. I've bought four trailers from them over the past 12 years. if you head over there give me a shout. its only about 20 minutes from me.

BucknerTrailers I am not affiliated with them in any way other than buying their trailers.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll check them out before I buy one.

Before I buy a bigger trailer to drag across America, I need to get a bigger truck. The F150 has a V8 and light tow package. The camper empty is 1100 lbs. A bigger trailer with brakes would be nice especially in mountain passes. My funds are limited though at this point. I hope it'll be ok....?

You could always add trailer brakes to it. A good set of airbags on the pickup would help out also.

Not counting the aluminum horse trailer..

The 12ft and 18ft will be for sale before long

Let me know when you decide to sell the 18ft. I'd like to get a trailer big enough to fit 2 rides.

It won't fit 2 1000's.. it's has a 2ft dove tail.. tandem axel, brakes, great shape.. I think he even put a new floor in it a year or two ago... pressure treated.. It's actually a car hauler. 2 inch ball.

How long are the 1000s? You'd be surprised. My buddy and I fit my 700-4 and his General on an 18ft for the Takeover. Both are around 9.5ft. Either way let me know but I may be better off going 20ft.

If I could only have one trailer... it would probably be a heavy 16ft tandem with brakes

I was all over the web looking at exactly that last night. Don't really understand the point of a dovetail on the back of some of them, shorter ramp would be the only advantage I see? Wish this whole discussion had taken place before I bought my 10'er.
