I'm just about due for my first oil change and hope to get it done before the next series ride.

Just did my first oil and filters change yesterday. On the 1000 be sure to get the right oil drains bolts, I did a total of 3, 1 by mistake and had to go get more oil.

Get the 454, it's for real men.... my hand would sting after a cylinder full. I loved the gun but I got rid of it cause I didn't run into any Grizzly bears here in Tennessee

Lol.. I'm just a Ruger fan.. I haven't shot a 454 but id take one!

I agree with Drf on the .454 being bad ass. But it's not much fun for target with what feels like double the kick it's really overkill. Always fun to hand off to someone who's never shot one. .44 is a better carry.
