Any of you guys have issues with overheating?

Everyone with P1Ks in my group has this issue.

Where we ride there's a lot of thick mud, which I know is the issue. But even after cleaning the radiator out with purple power and coil cleaner we continue to have this issue. Looking at fabing up a relo kit for it, but just curious if anyone else is having this issue or if any of you have any suggestions on what to check or replace.

Going to check for air in the system this week, maybe the original overheat cause and air pocket.

I have ridden with guys that had this same issue with mud. One very important thing to look for is the how dirty is the back of the radiator. I've seen the front look clean but the mud gets sucked thru and hangs on the back side.

Also, I haven't had the issue and I don't dodge mud! I think the UHMW bash plate keeps it from splashing up.

One more thing, I carry a bilge pump set for use with the 12v socket. It has saved guys I ride with a few times. It also is useful for cleaning seats and windows.

I did notice mud tends to hang on the back. Took the bike apart to get to the radiator better to clean it out. Didn't have a problem for a few rides, now it's back. 767c3d0308fc2c900a040a894809ae24

Doesnt sound like air in the system is your problem. But for your piece of mind there is a bleed screw on the top side of the thermostat housing. The head of mine was painted blue by honda

Going to bleed it just in case. Looks like the coolant level is a little low. So it's possible.

I had the same problem it is a plugged radiator! The front looks clean but it is plugged in the back! A good way to ensure it is good and clean is to place a bright light behind and look through from the front! If it passes this test and fan is kicking in to cool then it may be air trapped!

My temp dash light came on already. 49 miles. No mud riding at all. Just 5 mph slow riding on the road. For 30 mins or so.

We accelerated to force air through the front. Light went off within 30 secs after we sped up.

Don't know if that helps.

I thought that too, and if was plugged up in the back. But I've since taken it apart and cleaned behind. Much better, but still overheats far too often, I feel

Going coon hunting tonight and could use someone to make sure the coon is there. With that feet Fetisch thing you got, I could see you having Edward Scissorhand toes :D
