Anyone notice the lack of a manual parking brake, i can't find it anywhere, and just noticed where the bed dump lever is, it is inside the door openings corner, hope it has a manual parkbrake somewhear,i like the park in trany but they still need a maual brake for inclines, and no mention of an adjustable seat. Hey maybe we will have somethings to nitpick at!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Noticed no mention of adjustable seat also. I'm doubting it will being it is a bench seat. No sure about the parking brake either. Do you know if all the pk1 5's are going to be EPS?

Anymore power steering is the way to go. No bump steer and the reliability is excellent.

I mentioned this in another thread- I'm surprised that Honda didn't integrate the door net with the door like they did in the Pioneer 500-- from the videos it looks like its a separate task to snap the net in after closing the door.

That was one of the reasons i didnt like my ranger 500 midsize because there was no manual parking brake. If you were on a steep incline it was really hard to get that thing back in drive.

1. My guess is that shifting out of park will be smooth. Can-Ams have a smooth release out of park when on a steep slope. My guess, is Honda made it to be better than the best. I have parked Can-Ams on super steep hills and never had a problem with getting them out of park.

2. Reading through the specs, the base model P1K3P does not have power steering. All others do though.

I know on my foreman when parking on a hill and leaving it in gear (ES shift) i have to push it to get it to go back into neutral to start it. Wonder if that will have to be done to get the 1000 to go out of park on a hill. If so that's a lot of weight to move. On another note i have to stop looking and talking about the 1000 i want it more and more and starting to regret buying the 700 this sucks. I bought the 700 wanting a long term SxS and this 1000 will make a 100 times better long term SxS than the 700.
