Got a link to the one you are looking at ?

correct but is the 5w is a 60* spot and the 3w is a 20* spot the id go with the 3w cause it'll have a more controlled light which makes a huge difference.
I appreciate the in put, when you say 60* is that 60 foot, 60 degree? Yea I know, if I could see them lite up at night it would be clear as day to me. And the color of the light?

Spot pattern is in degree
Thanks for your help, that's what I thought you were sayin, so widest degree on outside and narrower as you move to the middle? I've got a call into them to talk about the combo light, this information will be useful, Thanks!

Lumens and watts is a sales gimmick. You want to know the LUX output.

Lux - Wikipedia

off road led light bars information | Super Bright LEDs

Not real true lumens does measure light output, but it doesn’t tell you how focused it is.

I have a 3900lumen flashlight that puts out a clean even wall of light and will light up my backyard pretty well, Lux is about 19000, carries @300m.

I have the same flashlight body with a different drop in that is 1100 lumens but is 56000 lux and it has a beam good out to about 1000m.

They are used as a sales gimmick. Just like salesman in all different industries try to twist numbers or data into their favor. For our Hondas, I’m just buying the cheap stuff on Amazon because I know I’m gonna break it anyway. Maybe if I was desert riding out west somewhere I would probably want a high-end light bar. In the forest environment that I typically ride in these cheap light bars are fantastic.

But I will tell you that LUX measurements also isn’t the whole story. For example, I have a single LED flashlight that produces only about 1500 Lumen with a high-quality reflector and high-quality lens and it will put .25 lux down range at 1 mile. Then I have a double LED flashlight with a totally different dome and reflector set up and it produces 8000 lm but zero Lux at 1 mile. Both numbers need to be looked at together with deciding what type of light you want. If I wanted a floodlight and I bought the light with the most lux then there’s a possibility that I will be severely disappointed with a pencil beam.

Because of the dense forest that we are typically riding in, I wish someone made an ultra curved lightbar in 5000°K tint with a beam pattern of 60°. I’m using a 40 inch curved lightbar and still have two sidelights on each side.

I guess I should also try to stay on topic and show one option of a light bar on a pioneer 700. I wasn’t very satisfied with this location.

I get what your saying. My 44" autofeel was 45 bucks. I picked my price range and did my research and got the best output in my range.
Autofeel does their measurements in watts and kelvin. Mine is 6500k, 288w with 5D lens 150* flood 30* spot

I'm going to have to start calling you Mr. Light Bulb, HA! Thanks, that breaks it down, to where I can even understand it. Where do you find this stuff, I've looked, obviously in the wrong place!
I have a issue over overthinking things and taking to long to buy. I spent 2 months to by my bar. Hell I spent almost a year to buy my truck. It bugs the crap out of my wife. She tells me I should learn how to impulse buy. I just want the best bang for the buck....but I'm cheap so that makes it hard. :)

Basically you need to figure out how you want to use more. Do you want to light up trail(narrower area) or fields ( open area/pastures) and pick you degree and light output.
