One constructive add on to the locking rods, if you add a spring that should prevent rod from moving up and and down and have some tension.

I modified your pic to show where to insert it.

I appreciate their constructive criticism but it's actually not necessary. There's too many components that slightly bind up a little bit to ever allow for up-and-down movement in the actual pin. But just enough to allow you to pull it when needed.

On mine the pins are snug, they aren't going to be moving around.

Mine will have spare mount and shelf for cooler. Then I plan on using clamps to customize for extinguisher, jack or other items.

Nice product!

Can you make this racks in aluminum? This could reduce the weight; I know the steel rack doesn't weigh much, but any way you can reduce weight will help when your adding a lot of accessories.
