Finally got around to installing the Super Winch Terra 45 with the KFI Winch Mount with a PDM-60 power management device.

Here is my layout. Hope it helps someone. I will update this as questions are asked and answered.
I have no plans at current to install a second battery

Winch Wiring Layout.

Mounted the PDM-60 and the Ground Bus.
Ground wire was ran to the ground bus. Ground trigger is not currently connected but I may run it sometime for a backup light.

Looked up the Honda Switch Panel Instructions. This is where Honda splices to get "Key-On" power. I placed a tap-in here. Recommend using a Posi-Tap for a more error free connection.

Next... Switch install.
Cut a hole for my switch plate and wired up my 5 switches.
Yellow is to the illumination from the headlight switch wire. It is jumped from one switch to another.
Black is ground wire, it is also jumped from one switch to another.
Left over "blank" ports are for power IN from PDM-60 and power OUT when switch is "ON"

Here are the switches I used:
Here is the location for the illumination power source from the headlights.
Brown wire is taillights, it is always on when headlights are on Hi or Low.

Next.... Winch Mount Install.
Finished ruing all the wires and started on the winch install.

Removed front bumper.

Installed the bottom mount.
IMG 6686

Mounted the two back winch bolts to the top plate.
IMG 6687

Placed plate and installed the front winch bolts. Had to get longer bolts from ACE.

Few more pictures finishing up the install.

What did I leave out?

Here is the items I used and where to buy them:
PDM-60 - Rowe Electronic's PDM60 Power Distribution Module
Super Winch Terra 45 - Superwinch 1145230 Terra 45 4500lbs
KFI Winch Mount - KFI Products 101285 Winch Mount For Honda Pioneer 1000

Note: I do not claim to be a expert on wiring. I have only my past experience to go on. Therefor, I state there are many methods and routes to install a winch. Above is only to show my method. Duplicate at your own risk. You can also replace the PDM-60 with a relay switch type system but the same general layout can apply.

Great write up.

Would you list the part numbers/
descriptions of those switches?

I am still confused by OTTRATTW
descriptions.

Thanks!

John

Looks like it fits but I don't like the way the rope runs up and over the fairlead. I will wait for the EMP front bumper top mount so I can see the winch, reach control and watch rope wind on the spool.

Yep. I took those last pictures just to show that. I may change it around too once something else is out.

It came with the PDM60. I will get some more pictures tonight of it.

You can see it in the picture below. It's the short black wire with the plastic cover. I just secured it into the frame. Then you can easily connect all your grounds.

Great write up!! you didn't leave it out but I was wondering how you got the slack in the wire harness for keyed power, I see that it has some type of clips holding them down but couldn't figure out how to remove them .

As for the winch one way or the other. I just felt it fit best this way. No other reason.

For the OEM fuse box. I just pulled on the box and it came unhooked. Then unwrapped some of the elec. tape for more access. It popped right back in. I'm sure there is a clip to push.

Questions?
What did I leave out?
Did you run the feed to your lighted switches straight from brown wire that is hot when low or high beams on? Or did u run it through a relay and to battery? Also if I got this dual lighted usb charger could I feed it with same wire coming from brown wire feeding my switches or would that require to much amp pull from brown wire?
