What size trailer do you think would be good for the Pioneer 500.
I will be pulling it behind a Jeep Cherokee. Would be nice if it would pull smooth.
Thanks.

Hello Everyone, I Have A Standard 5X8 Trailer. Do You ThinkThat Will Do Ok?
It will probably just fit, you may have to make extensions for the back ramp, since over all length is 8 1/2 I prefer one a bit longer, that allows you to adjust tongue weight, as well as carry other stuff. Camping stuff, beer drinking stuff, decoys n stuff, shooting stuff. Mine is 14' 2", and I still put crap in the pickup bed.

My trailer is 5x8 and I tow it with a Toyota Sienna. The P500 fits, but all the riding gear goes in the back of the van. No one cares when the gear is clean, but after a day (or weekend) of riding (even with using a tarp and plastic bins) it still ends up requiring a good shop vac before I hand it back to the wife. I can tell you having the gear in the bed of the truck or on the trailer is a much more pleasant drive home from the trails. Will it work? Yes. I'd go a little bigger though so the gear and mess and smell stay out of the vehicle though. :) Happy spouse, happy house.

I had a 5x8 trailer and While the 500 would fit, I couldn't close the ramp all the way and had to strap it down to the rack on the 500. I bought a 5.5x10 trailer and it pulls fine. I've pulled the 5.5x10 trailer with both a 2002 Jeep Liberty and a 2009 Dodge Durango without any problems

When I first bought mine in 2014 I had a tilt bed 5 X 10 trailer. While it would fit, the doors would only open enough for me to barely get in or out of the 500 while on the trailer. The other thing I didn't like with the 10 foot trailer, much less an 8, was there was no room for anything else besides the 500 on the trailer. I bought a 6 1/2 X 14 single axle trailer just for hauling the 500 and gear. It's just right to center the 500 one and still have room for ice chests and other gear. I thought with a 14 foot trailer I could get the 500 and a 4 wheeler on it if needed, but it's 10 inches too short for the Pioneer and my 420 Rancher, would need a 15 footer for that. I do still have the 5 X 10 trailer though, it perfect for pulling behind the 500 for working around the farm.

Side load the rancher and it would probably work.

Mine is a 5' x 10' Aluma Trailer, more expensive but I love it, at only 425 lbs. it's so much lighter than steel, I can lift the tongue with one finger, and it has a one piece bi fold ramp that when up is only about 2' tall, less air resistance when towing, and looks really sharp being all bright aluminum and has chrome wheels.

Mine is a 5x10 aluminum with a 2999lbs rating. Pulls great. I typically make 2 trips out west up to 1300 miles one way. Make sure you have 15" wheels. Aluminum is about 25% more money, but well worth it. Much easier to handle when not in use.

How about a pic of that fine Aluma trailer and was it very expensive. ;)

And with a lighter aluminum trailer, you get better gas mileage while towing.
