The 360 was ok too. Anything inline 6 is pretty good. Not sure I've ever heard of a bad one. The cummins runs Allison behind it as well mine is the 545.

The late model dt466 was junk when they used the same huei fuel system as the 6.0 ford engine. Also has lots of egr issues. I think is post 04 or 06. The cat c7 has its weak points also. Verry sensitive injection system.

Where is that at?

I went to find it and I couldn't find the right site or it was already sold. It was in NGa in one of the suburbs of ATL but can't remember where, it was white and looked really clean, for that price that means mechanical problems???

Nice looking bus. Y'all may not know this yet about me but I am a hard ass on budget. I'll spend 5k on this build, not a penny more. Plus I hate working with fiberglass. That's all those old folks home busses are.

Little more chipping away at the camper today. Using pallets for the walls, the vote in my house so far is 2-1 that I either paint them or leave them raw for a log càbin kinda look. Window is in and sealed. I think it looks good enough. Gonna figure out some trim once I paint. 3 110 outlets wired, and need to do the 12v before I button up the ceiling.

It's a utility window from Menards, so yeah it is a house window basically. The pallets are a bit heavy yeah, but truthfully I think I need a little more weight. It still has less than 50lb tongue weight. And yeah, I'm cheap. Lol

Haha, that's not the first example I've seen of you're being cheap, but it's the best, lots of laughs. Easy as it would be sense your trailer frame is a bolt together, I would slide your axle back 6"-12". If you take note of most trailers, and particularly those designed with "light weight" as their primary goal, they all have a much rear of center axle to provide the necessary tongue weight right off the bat.

If I recall, 40% of this trailer is tongue weight, may have been 50%, and it weighs just 618# stock as you see it. Note that rearward axle!

Not a bad idea. And you can thank Pinterest for the pallet wood and the teardrop pages for the utility window.

No way is there 300 lb tongue weight. For 50% to be tongue weight the axle would have to be the most rearward part of the trailer. I'd believ maybe 200 lb that would be 33% so if it were 40% that seems legit. I also like the shorter wheelbase for an off-road rig, it will track truer to the Honda. Either way that osprey is gonna look frickin sweet behind the p1k!
