The plug in voltmeters, do they work well? I've run out of room to mount and indash unit. I've come up with some other mounting options but it cost more money and I'm not sure I like them.
Looks like u have room right there or to the right or left of itI have the two defrost vents and two rockers and will have some toggle switches mounting in the cutout dash area. View attachment 330365
That ball mount you've got. Is it screws or did you use lock nuts on the back side?Or you can cut a hole and put it where I did. Theres many places u can put it. I have one thats a duel there now same size. View attachment 330368View attachment 330369
Bolts with nuts. You want it or anything your mounting that way in a sxs. The bouncing and vibration will rip screws right out. That ball mount you've got. Is it screws or did you use lock nuts on the back side?
That's what I figured. Screws would just woggle out.Bolts with nuts. You want it or anything your mounting that way in a sxs. The bouncing and vibration will rip screws right out.
the Ball is called a Ram Mount
The Voltmeter is 2" correct? I know in the picture it looks bigger but it's shy of 2". I have to go with another location, maybesomething like yours. I did see some cup mounts that could mount over head.

No prob!Thanks.
I like that idea too. I'm still putting everyting together and trying to figure what I can do. The main project is to get the new bumper, which isn't here yet, and the winch mounted. I only have one battery at this time and don't plan to add another one until a little later on.The round ones will go where a switch won't, though I guess Remington put a rocker where I have mine. The little round push button, below the voltmeter, applies a momentary ground so you can check battery voltages without turning key on. This is advantageous as you read "unloaded" main battery voltage (without system loading it down as with key on).
