Well, after many months of researching, I pulled the trigger last month on a Camo 1000-5 deluxe. I waited for the data on the 2017's to come out and after seeing the deluxe changes, I couldn't justify spending the extra money. I like the shocks upgrade but do not think it will be a small increase in price. I ordered it last month and had to wait for it to be shipped from down south. I live in Fairbanks, Alaska. Well, it came yesterday! I picked it up after they installed the winch for me. I have a hard roof and 2 piece windshield that should be here in about ten days. I am super stoked to test it out but in Fairbanks Alaska, you do not test machines in the winter without windshields lol. Something about that -20 degrees that makes you think twice.

Sweet!! Thanks for your service.. will you be staying up there or flying south upon retirement?
We came up here for the second time with the intention of staying but we have two small children and all of our family is back in NC. So looks like we will be making our fourth cross country trip upon retirement. And you are very welcome. Thank you for your support.

Hello and welcome from Palmer! Good choice on the camo, but I'm biased. I think you are going to find that you'll want to upgrade at least the front shocks. I had planned on it, but then needed to after my left front started leaking when I was up behind Moores Camp on the Denali Hwy. I went with the Walker Evans and kept the load levelers on the rear. So far I'm happy, but I'm sure I will upgrade the rear shocks in the future. It's a night and day difference on the front.

Wait a minute. Are you telling me you actually volunteered for FWA? o_O Did you bump your head? Just kidding. The funny thing about me is that I've been in AK for over 16 years, and the only time I've been to Fairbanks is in either January or February. -50 is just COLD!
