Looking for advice....
I have a 1000-5 and Im looking to put a lift on it, I have seen some great set ups on here. Im looking for Clearance more than height and better ride.

#1 I like the Super ATV 3inch lift, can you also use the arched A arms also? The arched A arms seem to really give you the clearance underneath. Does using the lift and the arched a arms increase height? I'm only looking to run 28 or 29 inch tires, (I've heard loss of power running bigger).

# will adding new shocks such as FOX or ELK add to height?

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum from NW Arkansas!

You can run 30' tires with the arched Forward A Arms with no lift. You can run up to 28' tires with no suspension modifications. I'm running 28' tires with a highlighter kit and fox shocks. I love the setup and how it handles. You can increase your ride height by adjusting the pre-load on the shocks, however I think you will be much happier with the ride and handling if you use the Highlifter Kit .

But if you have the trail armor skids you will have to trim them.

Welcome from WV you would fine with just the super atv arms no lift needed to run a 30" tire spring spacer on the front to level it and you should be fine

Do the arms just give clearance, that's what I'm after

The lowers are arched up to give you extra clearance under the arms. They are also moved forward 1.5" to allow slightly larger tires.
I like them over the others because of the camber adjust, warranty, and the fact that it doesn't lift the machine. I am not a bogger, Ill play in the mud a bit and Ill cross water if its in my way, but Id rather ride trails with hills and rocks. There is a 3" SATV lift that will work with the arched arms so you can get the best of both worlds if you want a lift, I wouldn't go past 28-30" tires though. Reverse is too high geared as it is.

Honda pioneer 1000 1 5 forward offset high clearance a arms 01

Don't know about the Foxs, I have Elka Stage 5's all the way round, cranked slow speed compression two clicks and removed torsion bar, handles great and articulates in rocks, but the stage 5's are double the cost.

Can I just get the Arched A Arms for the front and not the back and run a 30” tire all the way around? Also does the 2.5” highlifter lift make it ride any rougher or the suspension more stiff?

The suspension is stiffer with the HL lift but personally it doesn't feel as rough on bumps. The lift kit moves the top mounting hole outboard standing the shocks up more. Bumps don't seem to effect the Pioneer with the lift as much vs pre-lift I like the stiffer suspension

I ride on a lot of rocky terrain. So would you say the HL lift would make it a smoother less bumpier ride? Or would it just better to get the SuperATV arched a arms for the front end (not the back) to fit a larger tires all the way around?
