Would any of you happen to know if the 1000-3 shares the same self leveling rear shocks as the 1000-5?
The 1000-3 does not have the leveling shocks. They should be able to interchange.Would any of you happen to know if the 1000-3 shares the same self leveling rear shocks as the 1000-5?
Thanks sharp, I pretty much assumed the self levelers were for when the P1K-5 owners were carrying uncle Joe and aunt Betsy in the back seats, no emoji for what I'm thinking but you can use your imagination. The 1000-3 does not have the leveling shocks. They should be able to interchange.
So next question, does anyone have any P1K-5 rear shock take offs that theyed like to peddle???

I'll have a set of self-levelers ready to peddle in a couple weeks. So next question, does anyone have any P1K-5 rear shock take offs that theyed like to peddle???

Elkas are shipping now
Just for once I'd like to make a change to my ride ahead you. Till now I've watched you and play copycat.Dang you guys, y'all are making it hard to hold out!
I'm a bit confused by this, are you saying that you're not impressed with Honda's self levelers?I can tell yoU this. I've evaluated the self leveling shocks on the camping trip when we rode from royal blue to Windrock. When we loaded the camping gear in the back, it squatted pretty good and the ride always felt soft and it really didn't "pump" itself up. I believe me and @Hondasxs talked about it and measured roughly. I've not been impressed.
Maybe they worked when it was new and now they're wore out, Idk?
When I return these walker Evans shocks, I may swap with my father so I can have the "manual" adjustable rear shocks. At least I could crank those up rather quickly when needed.

I did some measurements on that about a year ago - I'll see if I can find it.They seem to ride good until loaded heavy then they are pretty soft. I don't think they ever pumped up when I had them.
Next time i put them on, I'll take measurements and then load it with concrete blocks and take another measurement. Then ride for a half a mile and come back and measure again.
Maybe somebody else beat me to it as that will be a few weeks.
Hmm, ok I'm going to need more feedback. Hopefully there's some out there. They seem to ride good until loaded heavy then they are pretty soft. I don't think they ever pumped up when I had them.

I appreciate the veraciousness.I did some measurements on that about a year ago - I'll see if I can find it.
I didnt want to say anything cause I'm willing to sell them but I found the self levelers made a big difference when fully loaded. The shocks recover maybe 60 to 70 percent of the original height. With a heavy load I found machine is alot more stable after the levelling happens. You have to drive it a bit for the shocks to adjust.
Anyway - dont take my word for it - I'm upgrading...
Why aren't they on your ride?I have a full set of 1000-5 shocks for barter... I always felt like the self levelers worked pretty well... not sure what @joeymt33 is going on about...
well, old Pete was such a good boy this year that Santa brought him some Stage 5 Elkas all the way around...Why aren't they on your ride?
